Dr. Vernu Visvalingam is a board certified Gastroenterologist with over 20 years of clinical experience in gastroenterology. He grew up in New York City and completed his undergraduate training at the Sophie Davis School of Biomedical Education at the City College of New York. He subsequently earned his MD degree at Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York. Internal Medicine residency and Gastroenterology fellowship training were completed at the Long Island Jewish Medical Center in New Hyde Park, NY. He has enjoyed private practice since 2002 and brings a warm bedside manner, expert endoscopic skills and evidence based medicine to care for his patients. He has interests in all aspects of general gastroenterology.
